  A developmental edit starts with a meeting to discuss needs. From there I will look over your materials and provide a detailed response (sometimes called a manuscript assessment). We will then meet again and go over the assessment and determine next steps.

  Rates for a developmental edit vary depending on stage of writing and length of manuscript. For completed manuscripts, my basic rate is 8 cents per word, but that is within a large ballpark.
